Photograph Data Sheet
Subject Description :  Olive Green Sea Snake
 Photographer :  Peter Harrison
Location :  The Pier, Exmouth, Western Australia
 Date :
 Camera / Lens :  Nikonos V / 35 mm with U/W Macro Kit
 Shutter Speed / Aperture :  1/125 sec, f22, SB-102
Film :  Fuji Velvia ASA 50
Depth :  12 m (36 ft)
Other Comments : The photographer is actually holding this snake in his left hand at the base of the head and placing the head into the frame of the macro lens while taking the photo with his right hand. The snake conveniently wrapped its tail over its head creating a shadow which hides the hand.

As sea snakes are highly venemous, this is not recommended for everyone, (although as the fangs of sea snakes are very short, even if attacked, the snake cannot penetrate a 5 mm wet suit.)
